Another Year: The Music of a Re-Wired Man
"Another Year" is more than an album; it is a musical "factory reset." It represents a deeply personal journey through the noise of modern life, captured through the lens of a man navigating the complexities of being "mid-life adjacent."
My musical foundation began at age seven with the cello, and those strings still pull through the heart of this project. Combining the intricate, wordy storytelling of Sondheim with the soulful grit of R&B, this album explores the tension between who we were taught to be and who we are choosing to become. It is a sonic landscape shaped by late-night audits of the soul, the rhythms of the city, and the quiet, persistent dreams that refuse to be silenced.
From high-energy, "Fosse-style" ensemble numbers to the intimate, stripped-back resonance of a solo cello, the music mirrors my own path of resilience. It touches on the shadows of loss, the weight of isolation, and the transformative power of finding one's own frequency amidst the static.
At its core, "Another Year" is an anthem for anyone who has ever felt "broken" but realized they were simply being "re-coded." It is a reminder that no matter the history we carry or the years that have passed, it is never too late to find a new melody.
Unmasked & Unbroken: Echoes of Resilience
This E.P. is a raw, intentional exploration of what it means to strip away the expectations of the world and return to your own core frequency. My musical roots began at age seven with the cello, and that same resonance—that deep, vibrating truth—is the heartbeat of this project.
I’ve always been drawn to the complexity of masters like Sondheim and Miranda, but my voice is also shaped by the grit of R&B, the groove of Funk, and the uplifting power of Gospel. In these tracks, those worlds collide. You’ll hear the driving beats of urban life mixed with the intricate storytelling of musical theater, all centered around the triumphant theme of Black Boy Joy.
This project was born out of a need to process the "noise" and find the music in the silence. It’s about the moments when I felt disconnected and the deliberate, rhythmic journey back to myself. From the high-energy pulse of a Fosse-style walking bass to the introspective stillness of a piano, every note is a testament to being unmasked and, ultimately, unbroken.
This is my story of resilience—a reminder that no matter how loud the static gets, we can always choose to rise, re-code, and find our own joy.
Songs for Cello & Piano
This album is the culmination of that history, blending the disciplined foundations of my youth with the raw, emotional resilience I’ve cultivated at forty-two.
In this collection, I explore the unique intimacy between two instruments that have defined my creative voice. These are not just compositions; they are stories of "re-wiring" and "resetting". By pairing the deep, human resonance of the cello with the versatile architecture of the piano, I’ve sought to capture the moments of clarity found within the noise of life.
Drawing from the intricate narrative structures of musical theater and the rhythmic pulse of R&B, this work is deeply personal. It mirrors my own transition from a "broken man" to one who is "unmasked and unbroken"—finding power in vulnerability and a new frequency in a mid-life reset.
This album is an invitation to listen to the silence between the notes, where the most important changes often happen.

I created this song as a way to map the coordinates of my own artistic DNA, which I realized long ago were drafted by Stephen Sondheim. Since first encountering the jagged, thrilling dissonance of Sweeney Todd in the ninth grade, my ears were permanently recalibrated; I stopped looking for simple resolutions and started searching for the truth in the "sharp and the flat." This track is a tribute to the man who became my silent mentor through every interview and masterclass, teaching me that musical theater is not just a collection of songs, but a rigorous craft where "content dictates form." It explores the profound, personal void left by his passing—the "silence in the keys"—while celebrating the fact that any time I sit down to write a lyric or find a harmony, I am using the tools he gave me. This is my "love letter" to the giant in the wings who taught me how to put it together, bit by bit, until I could finally see the architecture of my own soul.
This song was born out of a period of deep obsession with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, where the high-stakes energy of the Land of Dawn became a constant fixture in my daily life. As a multi-hyphenate creative and music producer, I found myself analyzing the official M-Series anthems and felt a professional spark of competition, believing I could craft a sound that was more resonant and powerful than what was being produced at the time. I wanted to channel that "Legends Unleashed" spirit into a track that truly captured the adrenaline of the game while showcasing my own evolution as a songwriter and composer. Driven by the goal of elevating the musical standards of the competitive scene, "We're Better Today" serves as my personal contribution to the community that once defined my gaming experience.
This is my modern reimagining of the Cole Porter classic. I’ve always loved the wit of the original, but I wanted to update the "shocks" and social commentary to reflect the world we live in today—one dominated by TikTok trends, influencer culture, and the rapid-fire nature of the internet. It’s an exploration of how, in our current social landscape, the boundaries of what is acceptable or "normal" are shifting faster than ever.
